Poshmark Bulk Share Features Update 2021

By now, you may have heard Poshmark recently made a huge update on their platform to include a bulk share option. Poshmark stated this was one of the most requested features from sellers. The question is, does the Poshmark bulk share improvement significantly save you time? The short answer is NO! But Poshmark Says these features will save time, increasing visibility, and helping drive sales. 

Let’s dive into the details and go through all of the new Poshmark bulk features learning how to use them and discuss the limitations and future of these features. 

New: Poshmark Bulk Share Features 

• Bulk Share to followers and Parties.

• Bulk – Offers to Likers

• Edit Listing Price (Raise and Lower)

Where To Find The New Features

When logged into your Poshmark account, navigate to your Poshmark Closet page. Then look above the sort by filters on the right side just before your closet. Next, you will see a wrench icon. Selecting the wrench will display the new features. 

Share To Followers

To use the Poshmark bulk share feature, select the share to followers option; this will allow you to bulk share all of your Poshmark listings. Next, you will see each listing with a white box in the bottom right corner. Next, select each listing.  Once you have selected all of the listings you would like to share, select the “Share to Follower” blue button. I know what you’re you’re thinking. But Wait, I still need to click each listing. Yes, you still need to select and click each listing!

Sharing To Parties 

You will only see the Poshmark bulk share option when a party is underway. When a party has started, look for the share to party option after selecting the wrench. Poshmark Bulk Offers

Just like using the Poshmark bulk share option to send bulk Poshmark offers, first select the wrench. Edit Listing Price

To use the edit listing price feature, select the wrench icon, then select the “Edit Listing Price” option. Then choose the amount to raise or drop an item’s price in your closet.  One of the biggest problems with this feature is the requirement to use percentages. For example, If you lower the price of an item by 10% that is $60, the new price would be $54, and then if you want to raise the price back, later on, you will need to raise the percentage by 11% to return the item to its original price. Poshmark markets this feature to run sales in your closet. Trying to remember the original prices of each item in your closet will lead to one big headache if you ask me! Time Savings?

Are these features really going to save you that much time? Probably not. Poshmark eliminated two clicks and made it one click required to share each listing. Poshmark claims these new features will save you 50% of your time. Small part-time sellers with a small number of items will benefit the most.  Larger full-time sellers with hundreds of items will still need to spend a significant amount of time on the platform daily. If you are really trying to make reselling a business the last thing you have time for is sharing items multiple times a day. As a full-time reseller, we are sourcing, inventorying, photographing, listing, packaging, and shipping items. Poshmark wants its users to engage on the platform like all other social media platforms. The more time you spend on the Poshmark platform, the more benefit the platform gets. Poshmark structured itself to be the social marketplace; they will not change that; otherwise, they would be identical to a platform like Macari or eBay who requires less of a selling commission. Poshmark wants its users to remain active on the platform.  

Limitations with Poshmark’s Features

There have already been several reports from sellers who have experienced a high number of captcha’s while using the Poshmark bulk share feature. What is a captcha? Captcha’s are built into websites to help determine whether a human is interacting or a computer is on the other end of the action. 

Other reports from users indicated they were unable to share their closets after sharing with the bulk option. Most likely, users were placed into “Sharing Jail” using features created by Poshmark for its own users. Sharing jail can occur when Poshmark believes that a seller has shared in an unrealistic manner. An unrealistic manner would be performing over 8,000 shares daily. Poshmark can also track the speed of how quickly items were shared. With the new bulk sharing feature, it appears Poshmark may be sharing those items too quickly, landing its own users trouble. 

Other Notable Limitations

• Items are not always shared in the correct order. 
• Unable to use bulk features to share other user’s items.  
• No following option.
